Dehorning/Disbudding

We are pleased to offer dehorning/disbudding services for our sheep and goat clients.  We offer cornual nerve blocks, hot iron disbudding, and post disbudding pain management for young goat kids/lambs.  Surgical dehorning is also available for scur and horn removal of older animals. 

Goat kids and lambs should be dehorned prior to 7-10 days of age, especially buck kids, to reduce the risk of scurs (aberrant horn growth).  Disbudding at a young age also decreases the post-procedural pain.

We are able to dehorn/disbud at your farm or in clinic.
